Microsoft’s dual-screen Android device Surface Duo might launch along with AT&T, say the renders shared by renowned leaker Evan Blass through Windows Central. He did not provide any info regarding pricing or details, but it can be said that the monthly payments might make it much easier for justifying the device.
Though Microsoft is sticking officially to releasing the unique clamshell device in holiday 2020, Windows Central claimed that it could be launched by as early as 24 August. The device cleared the FCC recently.
The renders do not seem to share anything distinct or new, though they are a reminder that offering a device having Google apps implies agreeing to Google’s policies.
The Surface Duo may not be very expensive as one would expect it to be. While dual 5.6 inch screens are its major highlights, the Duo may feature modest hardware such as a 2019 Snapdragon 855 chipset, 6 GB RAM with an internal storage of 256 GB. You might also get only one 11 MP camera for selfies and video chats. As hinted by Microsoft previously, the Surface could be focused more on software and will be much better at multi-tasking for work in contrast to competing with latest high-range smartphones.
